Course Content

The goal of this 5 day course is to provide students with information and practice activities to prepare students to technically plan and conduct a wireless site survey. The student should be able to design the RF network and conduct a post installation assessment to ensure compliancy.

Course Objectives

Module 1 Prepare for the Site Survey

•    Upon completion of this module, the student should be able to describe the requirements necessary for preparing for a site survey.

Module 2 Plan for the Site Survey

•    Upon completion of this module, the student should be able to describe the requirements necessary for planning a site survey.

Module 3: Conduct the Site Survey

•    Upon completion of this module, the student should be able to perform a site survey for data, voice and location applications.

Module 4: Design the RF Network

•    Upon completion of this module, the student should be able to determine the placement of the access points for data, voice and location applications.

Module 5: Assessing the Deployment

•    Upon completion of this module, the student should be able to assess the deployment of the WLAN.
